In a move to enhance its position in the industrial rack and pinion elevator market, McDonough Elevator Sales & Rentals announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Hoist-Co, Inc., based in Baldwin City, Kansas. McDonough Elevators will retain the entire management, sales, and service staff. The acquisition includes all existing service, maintenance, and Stros elevator sales contracts.  Operations will continue out of the Baldwin City office.

Hoist-Co is a strong addition to McDonough Elevator and will help grow our elevator sales and maintenance business.”

Hoist-Co was owned and operated by Kevin Harrison, who had taken over the business from his parents, John and Doris Harrison, who founded it.   Harrison will join McDonough Elevator as Manager of Operations. “Being a part of a larger company that is a national player, like McDonough Elevator, is an opportunity for us to take what Hoist-Co has built over the last 30 years and move it to the next level of development,” said Harrison. “We are looking forward to leveraging our operational and management expertise in the elevator maintenance and permanent sales business over a much broader market.”
