McDonough Elevator Sales & Rentals announced recently that it has completed the asset purchase of Rack and Pinion Elevator Service, Inc. based in Denver, Colorado. McDonough Elevator will retain the company’s management and service staff and the acquisition includes all existing service, maintenance, and elevator sales contracts.  Operations will continue out of the Denver office.

“McDonough is excited to acquire the leading provider of industrial elevator maintenance and service in the Rocky Mountain region,” commented Joe Galatas, McDonough Elevator President. “Rack and Pinion Elevator Service has been the premier industrial provider in the area and is known for their customer focus and knowledge of all types of rack and pinion equipment.”

With over 40 years of serving the Rocky Mountains, Rack and Pinion Elevator Service was owned and operated by Howard Francis, who will stay on board during a transition period.

“Rack and Pinion Service is a strong addition to McDonough Elevator and will help grow our elevator sales and maintenance business. We are excited about acquiring Rack and Pinion Service and having the employees join the McDonough team,” concluded Galatas. “This is a natural expansion of McDonough Elevator’s expertise and capabilities and is further proof of our commitment to be the top supplier of industrial rack and pinion elevator service and sales in the US.”
