LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAX CONSTRUCTION

LAX is Finished

Houston, TX, September 4, 2013, 2013: McDonough Elevator Sales and Rentals is proud to have been part of the multi-billion dollar development program for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The centerpiece of the program is the new Tom Bradley International Terminal which includes new gate and concourse areas. The expansion was critical for the airport to be able to accommodate new larger planes that have two levels of passenger loading and unloading.

McDonough was hired by Walsh-Austin Joint Venture and has been involved in the project since April 2011. The company was able to meet the special needs of the project by locating a hoist inside of the central area and removing it late in the project schedule through a skylight. This was accomplished by having highly trained and dedicated personnel to meet a technical challenge within a very demanding schedule. Additionally, McDonough provided hoist operators and inside passenger elevator operators for the duration of the project.

McDonough wishes to thank all parties involved for a safe and productive project.
